University of Rajasthan started the Master of Computer Application (MCA) Evening batch with the interest that those professional working for Information Technology for the last several years but did not get the degree due to unavailability of such course.

The Course was started in January 1998 with the 40 seats and having the same course - examination structure as in the fulltime MCA course.

The major benificiary for the course were the employee of Department of Information Technology, National Informatics Center, Lif Insurance Corporation, Survey of India, Bharat Paetrolium, Punjab National Bank, other Government and Semi-government departments.

The elegibility for this course is graduate with 4 years expeience in the govt. sector.
